Are you in the market for a hidden treasure? Do you find yourself ready to rid your house of unwanted items? Would you like the chance to participate in a fun community event? If these questions ring true, then the Annual Town-Wide Tag Sale is the event for you!
The Watershed History Collective originated the Town-Wide Tag Sale in South Windsor and the next one will be held on August 8, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There’s no better time than a Saturday in the summer to have a tag sale. This event celebrates National Garage Sale Day, which falls annually on the second Saturday of August. Those who choose to participate will place their items for sale on their property and will be given a lawn sign to signify they’re part of the event (no permits with the town are necessary). Participating locations will be included on an interactive Google map available to the public prior to the event. The maps will include an overview of each participating tag sale in town which are sure to have a wide range of treasures.
Participants are charged a flat fee of $25 to be included on the map and receive a lawn sign. You keep all of your tag sale’s proceeds! Registration will open in spring 2026.
Anyone can buy, but sales must be located in South Windsor. The event will be held rain or shine.
