South Windsor boasts a rich colonial history that stretches before Adriaen Block’s 17th century exploration of the Connecticut River. The Watershed History Collective is uniquely poised to offer opportunities to learn about the past, as it has for decades. Pricing generally ranges between $10-20 per student, minimum of $300.
All Ages and Group Sizes

Content can easily be scaled up or down depending on age. Depending on the size of your group, we can design a program with rotational learning stations. All programs are designed to coordinate with Connecticut Social Studies Standards.
Customizable

Have an idea or special request? We want to hear about it! Or, learn in stages with available in-classroom presentations, videos and/or discussion prompts before learning onsite with us in a hands-on manner.
Hands-On and Multidisciplinary

We focus on offering an enriching, multi-sensory environment. Hands-on learning is paramount to keeping participants engaged, and whenever possible artifacts, archival materials and reproductions are featured in real-time.
Your Location or Ours

Our Colonial and Early American programs can utilize various sites in South Windsor or they can come to you. Likewise, learning about local Indigenous Peoples can take place inside Nowashe Village or at your location. Some programs are even available virtually!
